Northern Rail Industry Leaders respond to TfN Northern Infrastructure Pipeline

12 August 2020

Transport for the North have today published a Northern Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), a 30 year investment plan of infrastructure projects to underpin greener Northern growth.

Mike Hulme, Co-Chair of Northern Rail Industry Leaders (NRIL), responded: “It is positive to see Transport for the North setting out a Northern Infrastructure Pipeline over the coming years, which includes a number of rail projects like Northern Powerhouse Rail. Delivering a visible and stable pipeline of work was one of the key recommendations of NRIL’s Building the North’s New Railways White Paper, so today’s announcement is very welcome and will help rail suppliers deliver even more from investment in the North’s rail network.”
