Eligibility for RIA Membership

Membership is open to UK-based companies; you must have a UK company registration.
Press and media companies are not eligible for full member status – please contact our press office – to discuss partnership opportunities.

How to Apply

Please check the ‘Terms & Conditions’ and ‘Membership Subscription Fees’ below, and provide the details required in our online application form, including your last known annual UK rail turnover.

RIA Membership Terms & Conditions

Important: Once a company has joined, membership is continuous.
To resign from the association, at any time, member companies must give 6 months’ notice, in writing.
Each member company pays an annual subscription, which is based on their declared UK rail turnover in the last financial year for which figures are available.
Subscription arrangements are reviewed annually, by RIA’s Finance Committee and Board.
Subscriptions are invoiced every March/April, covering the full upcoming membership year, 1 April – 31 March.
Subscriptions are invoiced to new members on commencement of membership; the remainder of the financial year is charged pro rata.
Subscriptions are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
There is no limit to the number of employees covered, so long as they are using their company domain email address

2024-2025 Membership Subscription Fees

Minimum Annual Fees:

Entry level	£970 +VAT	For UK SMEs – not part of a group with turnover exceeding £50M revenue – with less than £1,000,000 UK rail turnover For UK Academic Institutions / Universities / Research Facilities
Standard level	£1,940 +VAT	For any company with less than £2,074,866 UK rail turnover
